President Island is a 2,200-acre industrial park located in Memphis, Tennessee. Originally an isolated, rural area surrounded by the Mississippi River and Wolf River Harbor, the island has been shaped by industry over the past century. Today, it is home to a variety of businesses, including warehousing and distribution facilities, manufacturing plants, and transportation companies. The island is named after President Andrew Jackson, who visited the area in 1830 during his presidency. It is also the site of the privately-owned Memphis Helicopters, which offers aerial tours of Memphis and the surrounding areas. Additionally, the island is connected to the mainland by bridges, including the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge and the Jack Carley Causeway.
